Chefs Chris Thompson & Peter Hawkins,

Mackenzie’s Seafood & Steaks - Thursday, June 25
Chris Thompson started cooking for his family at the age of 10; he went to work in his best friend’s family-owned restaurant when he was 14. After working in restaurants in Louisiana, the Lake of the Ozarks and Columbia, Thompson opened his own family-run restaurant — Mackenzie’s — in November 2005.

Peter Hawkins has been cooking since he was 16 years old. He has cooked in kitchens on both coasts, cultivating his passion for good food and wine for the past 15 years.

This duo of chefs is always looking for new and exciting ideas in the world of food and beverage, an adventurous spirit that has earned them kudos in the annual Best of Columbia voting. They have crafted their wine dinner menu with care, highlighting wines that pair well with the taste of Mackenzie’s.
